Teachers in the East Liverpool school district have threatened go on strike.
The teachers issued a 10-day intent to strike notice.
If they agree to go on strike during the next 10 days, they would not show up on the first day of classes, Monday, August 24.
The Board of Education called the intent to strike notice an attempt to cause disruption to the school year.
Union members said they’re unhappy that the board implemented a contract without their approval.
The board said that they have no plans to go back to the bargaining table.
In April, the union rejected what the board said would be its last offer.
