“Edcamp Ohio Valley” kicked off Saturday morning, with a big turnout of teachers who were more than ready to switch roles and become the students, instead of teach.
Over 80 educators came from as far as Parkersburg and Zanesville to get in on the classroom tips and tricks.
The conferences are held nationally and Ohio Valley’s EdCamp was held along with 15 others across the nation.
Our local teachers said the day is a great opportunity for educators to talk about all kinds of things, but their most important learning may not even be about the classroom, “I just wanted to be inspired today I just wanted to get different ideas and already 45 minutes in I’m so inspired and I can’t wait to get back to my classroom and try these different things,” said Shawna Safreed, Language Arts Teacher at Warwood Elementary.
Teachers who were in attendance at the conference received a certificate for professional development.
