A man accused of planting chemical explosives around the Weirton City building had his day in court on Thursday.
David Patterson pleaded not guilty on Thursday on three counts of criminal use of a destructive device and one count of conspiracy.
Patterson was indicted by the Hancock County grand jury weeks ago after a May 5 incident in which he allegedly placed several chemical explosives around the Weirton City Building and underneath a police cruiser.
Patterson’s bond, originally set at $150,000, was reduced to $50,000. His attorney requested that Patterson be placed under electronic monitoring, however, the judge denied the request.
