Faith in Action Holds Annual Triathlon & Dualthon to Raise Money For Elderly

They help the elderly and disabled in Ohio, Marshall and Belmont Counties but today Faith In Action Caregivers were all about athletics as they hosted their annual Triathlon and Dualthlon.
The course consisted of a 400 yard swim in the McDonough Center at Wheeling Jesuit University, followed by a 20 K bike ride through Wheeling before finishing with a 5 K run, ending on the track at Bishop Schmitt Field. The weather even cooperated to help out those who can’t help themselves.
“We provide free services for the elderly and disabled in Ohio, Marshall, and Belmont Counties. We can only do that with the support of the community since we don’t receive government funding for all the work we do,”  Executive Director Jeanette Wojcik says. “It’s all donations and fundraisers, and events like this that will help us raise those funds to coordinate our services.”
They are hoping to raise about $35,000 during Saturday’s events to help with the services they provide the elderly and disabled.
WTRF was a proud contributor of the Faith In Action Triathlon.
