When one family from California found out that their sixth child would be a girl, making her their fifth daughter, they decided to make the gender announcement a little interesting.
The Lasts dressed their four daughters in princess costumes, complete with tiaras and crowns, and placed them in the girls’ pink bedroom.
Their only son, 6-year-old Matthew, sat in the center of his sisters, with his hands on his head in mock horror.
On the bed next to him lay a fifth princess dress, while one of the girls held the sonogram picture.
“Everyone was kind of expecting or hoping for Matthew’s sake that it would be a boy so I just thought we’d do something funny to announce that, of course, it’s another girl,” Laura Last told ABC News.
Contrary to his reaction in the photo, Last said that Matthew is excited to have another sister.
The baby girl is due May 2016.
