A father-son duo accused of stealing from a home in Moundsville is now behind bars.
Police say they were called to a house on Agnew Street where a gun and medications were stolen. Another homeowner called, saying someone tried to break into her house.
Police found a man matching the description of the suspect. A search of his home turned up the gun and pills taken from the first house.
In the end, Donald White and his son Jacob, both of Moundsville, were arrested.
Police say any home could be a target.
“People are getting desperate. The addictions are very strong in this area. So yeah, they’re, lock your doors. If not they’ll walk down the street and try your doors and try to get in. They’ll look through your cabinets and then take off. It’s becoming more and more prevalent, unfortunately,” said Sgt. Don DeWitt.
Donald White, the father, is charged with burglary, attempted burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
Jacob White is charged with burglary, breaking and entering, and possession of a controlled substance.
