The annual Festival of Colors is scheduled for this weekend at New Vrindaban in Marshall County.
This year, organizers of the event are expecting between 5 and 6 thousand people to show up, drawing those from as far as Columbus, Toronto and Baltimore. The festival aims to bring people together to celebrate culture.
“The Festival of Colors is an Indian cultural event celebrated by millions of people all over the world, to promote love, friendship and unity. Everyone wants to have that feeling of happiness and satisfaction, they want to be together, so the Festival of Colors brings people together to promote those concepts: love, friendship and unity,” said Vrindavana Das, Marketing Director for New Vrindaban.
The festival is taking place this weekend at the Palace of Gold in Marshall County, and runs from noon until 6 p.m., but you’re advised to get there around 11 a.m. to find a parking spot and avoid long lines. Tickets can be purchased here.
