Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a home Thursday morning in West Bellaire.
The fire started just after 10:30 a.m. at 1414 High Street.
Firefighters at the scene said they had to call in the Tanker Task Force because of broken fire hydrants in the area. They went on to say the low temperatures made it difficult to put out the fire.
The homeowner and her dog were able to make it out safely. She said she was in the bathroom at the time and smelled smoke, but did not know what could have caused the fire.
A cause was not immediately determined, but is being looked into by the State Fire Marshal.
