Police continue to investigate after five people were injured in a weekend shooting in East Liverpool.
According to WKBN, the incident occurred at 440 1st Ave. in East Liverpool early Sunday morning. Police say three victims received treatment at an area emergency room, and one woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for a gunshot wound to the face and left arm. An ambulance took another man to a Pittsburgh hospital for a gunshot wound to the left arm.
Immediately after the shooting, police located a car full of people believed to be involved in the shooting, about a half-mile away from where it occurred. Multiple bullet casings and a firearm were recovered from the scene.
A witness at the scene claimed that the shooting happened after a man and woman inside of the house got into an argument.
Other residents on the street where the incident occurred said this isn’t the first time issues have come from the house. “It scares me. Shootings like that shouldn’t be going on in cities like this,” said one concerned neighbor.
