A family is now homeless after a massive fire broke out around just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday night.
The blaze left four kids and two adults homeless. According to Fire Chief Robert Eberhart, the fire happened at 38900 County Road 72 just outside of Flushing.
The home is a total loss. Crews in Belmont County say the fire rekindled twice. They were called out for a second rekindle of the fire just before noon on Monday. The second rekindle is in the foundation part of the structure.
The chief says a backhoe would be needed to smother the flames, and he doesn’t feel the fire is capable of spreading.
We are working to get new details about donations for the family.
