It’s an annual dinner aimed at honoring some of the most successful businesses in Marshall County.
Thursday night business owners, educators, and many more gathered inside the Mollohan Center within the walls of the former Moundsville Penitentiary.
West Liberty University President Robin Capehart was the key note speaker and touched on his success in and out of the classroom, but also the importance of higher education.
“We had to ask ourselves, do we want to just have graduates or do we want to to have college educated adults,” said Caperhart.
President Capehart also talked about the need for a community to come together, not only to help maintain a healthy business atmosphere, but also what it takes to get the right employees.
“We don’t want to train people to just do the job, we want leaders,” said Capehart.
WesBanco Arena’s Denny Magruder served as the Master of Ceremonies and added, “the Marshall County Chamber is alive and well. We will continue to help our local businesses now and well into the future.”
WTRF was a proud sponsor of the Marshall County Chamber Dinner.
