Four Arrested in Belmont County Drug Bust, Search Continues for Three More Suspects


 Four people were arrested by agents from the Belmont County Drug Task Force early Monday morning, while the search for three more suspects continued into Monday afternoon.

Authorities report four people were taken into custody earlier without incident. Arrested were: Quantrell Lamart Hamler, of 64541 Patterson Hill Road, Bellaire, originally from Chicago, Illinois on 1 count of trafficking crack cocaine and trafficking prescription medication; Tyrone Anton Lucien, of 1318 Poplar Street, Bellaire, on 2 counts of trafficking cocaine; Tyrel Maurice Simmons, of 816 West Vine Street, Martins Ferry, 1 count of trafficking marijuana; and Zachary William Wilson Gooch, of 1331 Terrace Street, Martins Ferry, on 2 counts of trafficking prescription medication.

All four were transported to the Belmont County Jail. Agents were assisted by Martins Ferry Police Department, Shadyside Police Department, Bellaire Police Department and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office.

Meanwhile, the task force continued to search for three more suspects wanted on drug charges as the afternoon rolled on. Sought by authorities were: Edward Lee Haynes Jr., of Cleveland, who may be in the Wheeling area, Holly Marie Henderson, of  Moundsville, and Brent Lawrence Kappler of Shadyside.
