A Freezing Rain Advisory will continue until 1 p.m. Monday.
A large area of rain, sleet, and freezing rain continues to move into the area.
This morning most of the higher elevations along I-70 contained areas of slick spots especially on the off and on ramps.
All secondary roads contain a wet and thin coating of ice making for dangerous driving.
The temperature will slowly rise into late morning allowing main roads to improve, however, lingering moisture will likely change back over to snow showers as the temperatures once again drop below freezing in the late afternoon hours.
Use extreme caution if you plan to travel overnight and into Monday morning. This is a potentially dangerous situation.
