The Foster Parents Association held a quarter auction at Stone United Presbyterian Church in Wheeling on Saturday.
Several vendors donated items for the auction which benefited foster families in Ohio and Marshall counties.
With the money raised, the organization will put on events for the foster kids, such as Easter egg hunts and Christmas parties.
“Last year we raised $2300 we’re not sure how much we raised this year, but we do it every May because it’s National Foster Care Month,” Ramona Barnes said.
The event also served food and provided a space for kids and adults to come together for a good cause.
They estimate over 100 people attended the event.
