Funds Allocated to Help Local Detention Centers


Help is on the way to local detention centers.

The Ohio Department of Youth Services has announced that they are sending more than $1.6 million to 23 counties to help enhance the detention centers. The only local county that will receive some funding in Jefferson County.

The funding is a part of the agency’s new Detention Alternatives and Enhancements Initiative.
