An open house was held on Thursday at the J.B. Martin Rec Center in St. Clairsville for residents to ask questions about a new natural gas pipeline that could soon come through our area.
The ET Rover pipeline is an interstate natural gas pipeline that will transport natural gas from processing facilities located in the Marcellus and Utica Shale areas to market regions in the United States and Canada. The pipeline is being designed to transport 3.25 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day through approximately 800 miles of 36-inch and 42-inch pipeline through Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.
Officials say that once things start rolling in the Ohio Valley, they will look to hire hundreds of local workers.
