As the workweek started, motorists found themselves paying more to fill up.

For another several consecutive weeks the price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline has jumped several cents.

According to AAA drivers across the nation were paying an average of $2.46.

Last week the price for a gallon of regular unleaded was hovering around $2.01.

One of the main reasons why the prices continue to climb is the fact “major oil exporters failed to reach an agreement during the much-anticipated meeting between OPEC and non-OPEC countries over the weekend,” according to AAA.

The cheapest prices in West Virginia can be found in Bridgeport with an average of $2.09.

The most expensive prices in the state are in Martinsburg, where drivers are paying an average of $2.19.
