Gas prices in some parts of the Ohio Valley are lower than National average

Gas prices in some parts of the Ohio Valley are more than a quarter less than the national average.

Monday in Steubenville, many gas stations were charging just $1.76 for unleaded, which is also less than the average in most metropolitan areas of the state.

According to AAA, the highest prices in Ohio are still under $2 though with Cincinnati at an average of $1.92.

Of course people are thrilled to see the continued price drop.

“It’s excellent. It’s about time we can finally see it in our pocket. You put 20 bucks in and you can have a good day and not worry about spending the extra money on gas,” said Steubenville resident Andy Palmer.

However, in West Virginia we’re still seeing average prices in the high $1.90 range, also according to AAA.
