Glen Dale Police are currently investigating a shots fired incident.
Witnesses told police they heard gunshots at approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a residence at an apartment complex on Washington Avenue, but Chief Ed Vogler says that dispatch received a call around 7:30 a.m.
According to Police Chief Ed Vogler, no one was injured during the shooting, but there was visible damage to a window and wall of the residence.
“Officer responded over, recovered two bullets out of the wall. They gathered some more information after the sun came up a little bit. We went over a recovered eight shell casings. Very unusual. We’ve never had shots fired in Glen Dale,” said Vogler.
Police also report that they found eight casings on the sidewalk, and three bullets at the scene. There are no suspects or leads at this time.
