A grandfather and grandson are recovering after falling from a tree stand while hunting Wednesday morning in Marshall County.

Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Cecil said it happened about 8 a.m. Wednesday in an area off of U.S. 250, south of Cameron.

Cecil said the grandfather and grandson were hunting when they fell out of their tree stand.

According to family members, both were taken to Ohio Valley Medical Center for treatment. The grandfather was later transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown for treatment of more severe injuries.
