A special event was held Saturday night at Oglebay’s Camp Russell.The Harmony House hosted their annual “Hope for Spring” Fling event.
More than 200 people turned out for Saturday’s event, which included a number of speeches and entertainment.
“We released some balloons symbolic of the children that we serve and the hope that we want them to have in their heart that they will be heard, believed and get the services they need,” Harmony House Executive Director Leslie Vassilaros said.
There were also pinwheels around to represent child abuse awareness month.The mission of Harmony House, which is a Children’s Advocacy Center, is to serve child victims and non-offending family members in a neutral, child-focused environment.
