Officers say they were responding to a shots fired call around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning when they noticed a white Chevy impala fail to make a complete stop at Pittsburgh and Maryland Avenue in Steubenville. Officers say they saw two guns thrown out of the moving car.
As officers tried to pull the car over, the car continued to drift. As the officer got out of his car, he saw two guns fly out of the drivers side window while both of his hands were still outside of the car. The rear passenger attempted to get out of the car and run. The driver of the car told police he came here from Columbus to pick up his brother, Mark Bohanan. He said Bohanan got into the car holding two guns. He added that Bohanan told him told him not to stop the car when officers were trying to pull them over.
Bohanan is now charged with weapons under disability, tampering with evidence and a warrant from Columbus with full extradition. Bond is set at $250,000.
