“Helping Heroes” Fundraiser Held

On Friday night, the “Helping Heroes” charity held a fundraiser at a banquet room at Generations.

Co-founder Jeremy Harrison said the charity will help homeless and near homeless veteran families, and has mapped out its vision for the future. “We’re going to have three transitional apartments for homeless families, and all the money that we raise tonight is going to go towards housing them, feeding them, and taking care of their basic needs,” Harrison said.

He added that “Helping Heroes” plans to offer other services including job training and assistance.

Country artist Matt VanFossen performed his musical numbers to the appreciative crowd.
