Heroin, Crack, and Child Endangerment lands 2 in Belmont County Jail

Early Friday morning, the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 2 men for a long list of drug related charges.

According to the Belmont County Sheriff Office website, 27-year-old Coty Joseph Burkhart was arrested and charged with multiple felony drug charges and endangering children. His charges include; possession of drugs – crack, possession of drugs – heroin, trafficking in drugs – heroin, trafficking in drugs -cocaine or crack, drug paraphernalia, endangering children, and turn and stop signal. His bond for all of the offenses totaled more than $52,000.

Also arrested was 23-year-old Derek Ryan Calloway. Calloway also faces a laundry list of drug related crimes, which include; possession of drugs- crack, possession of drugs – heroin, trafficking in drugs – cocaine or crack, trafficking in drugs – heroin, obstructing justice, endangering children, resisting arrest, and drug paraphernalia. His bond for all of the offenses totaled more than $63,000.
