The man who police believe fired a gun into the Steubenville apartment where a 16-year-old girl was hit in both feet has been arrested again.

Nathaniel Dickerson was arraigned on his complicity to felonious assault two weeks ago on January 13 when his $50,000 bond was continued. Wednesday night, while out on bond, he was arrested during a drug raid on Oak Grove Avenue in Steubenville.

Police Chief Bill McCafferty said; having to arrest the same people over and over can become frustrating.

“For all law enforcement when criminals are out committing other crimes such as dealing drugs when they’ve already committed a prior one,” said McCafferty. “This isn’t the first time this happen. Several times we’ve arrested drug dealers and we rearrested them again– they’re still selling drugs, but as long as they can make the bond that’s set– police just arrest people.”

Dickerson’s new bond has been set at $250,000.
