An exciting holiday concert will feature a local celebrity. For the 22nd year, the Joy to the World Jazz Concert will be performing at select cities in West Virginia, and this year it is coming to Wheeling.

Reinvent Wheeling is hosting this year’s Joy to the World Concert at the Capitol Theatre as a fundraiser for the organization. The concert will feature Wheeling-native and singer, Mollie O’Brien and jazz pianist Bob Thompson.

“You know with what’s been happening with the Capitol Theater, with the interior renovations and the façade restoration and then being able to put a West Virginia tradition with Wheeling Natives inside that, it’s going to be a really special night, so we’re really excited,” said Jake Dougherty, the director of Reinvent Wheeling.

The concert is being held Friday, December 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets vary from $21.50 to $32. For tickets or more information, you can go online to capitoltheatrewheeling.com or call 800-514-3849.
