HPV Vaccinations Down From 2014

Numbers of people receiving the HPV vaccination from 2014 were released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and reports show numbers are down.

Only 40-percent of girls aged 13 to 17 had completed the three-vaccine course of HPV immunization.

That number is well short of the 80-percent goal set in 2010 by the Federal government in its Healthy People 2020 report.

HPV is a group of more than 150 related viruses, which together are the most common sexually transmitted infections in the United States.
