Hundreds of people gathered Sunday night at Tomlinson Run State Park in Hancock County to remember three teenagers who were killed in a tragic accident near the park on January 18, 2014.

Krystyn Butcher, Kaylin Blake Rice and John Emmett Snow lost their lives when the car they were traveling in lost control and struck a fire truck. The three were students at Oak Glen High School.

At the vigil, family, friends and classmates held candles and gathered around photos of the three teens, while singing and listening to Bishop Craig Greathouse lead the memorial. “We just wanted to light a candle, but also say that the real light is the lives of these kids that will shine on in our hearts,” Greathouse said.

He added how amazing the community has been throughout the past year, rallying around the families who lost their loved ones.
