Icy Conditions Sends Car into Creek

Police said icy road conditions and high speeds were the cause of an accident that sent one car into a creek Tuesday afternoon in Marshall County.

The incident happened shortly before noon when a white Lexus went into Middle Grave Creek in Moundsville.

Authorities said the driver managed to crawl out of the car. They believe the combination of icy road conditions and the travel speed of the vehicle caused the accident.

No word yet from authorities on injuries.
