Inmate Escapes from Greene County Prison

UPDATE: Monday, 12/28/2015 – 11:30 a.m.

Pennsylvania State Police say Vanessa W. Hanlan, of Dilliner, PA was arrested and charged with two counts of Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution and one count of Criminal Conspiracy in connection with the escape of her brother, Waylon Hanlan. 

According to police, Vanessa conspired with her brother prior to his escape, harbored Waylon in her residence and provided clothing for him knowing he escaped from jail.

Police believe Waylon may be driving a black 2004 Honda Civic coupe with PA plate “JTT-6241.”

The Pennsylvania State Police in Waynesburg are asking for help looking for an inmate that escaped from the Greene County Prison.

On Sunday, December 27th around 8:00 p.m., Waylon Hodgen Hanlan, 27, escaped the jail by scaling a fence and then running into a wooded area.

Hanlan has a slim build, is 6’3″ and weighs 145 lbs.  He has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Hanlan was in jail on a probation violation for fleeing and eluding and simple assault charges.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts should contact the Pennsylvania State Police at Waynesburg (724) 627-6151.
