Update Thursday 12 p.m.
Vicki Cooper was charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs.
Her bond was set at $85,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 15.
Officers of the Jefferson County Drug Task Force made their second meth lab bust in one week Tuesday night.
Vicki Cooper was arrested out of a home on State Street in Steubenville Tuesday night after officers discovered components of a meth lab.
Officer Thomas Ellis said they received information of a possible meth lab out of that home.
“We acted on that information, made entrance into the residence, that’s where we located the components of the making of a methamphetamine. We were able to intercept before the cooking process actually begun,” Ellis said.
Drug Task Force officers still need to process the evidence that they seized from the home and process charges. Ellis said charges should be filed against Cooper soon.
There was also a man inside of the home at the time who had to be taken to the hospital. He may also be facing charges as well.
