Jefferson County Man Indicted on Attempted Murder, Felonious Assault Charges


The Steubenville man charged with attempted murder and felonious assault of two different people has been indicted by the Jefferson County Grand Jury.

Brian Bruce hid from police for around 12 hours last Thursday into Friday night after allegedly repeatedly beating a woman in the face and cutting her. He is also accused of driving to Bergholz and stabbing a man.

That man had to be flown to a Pittsburgh Area Hospital.

Bruce made an appearance in Steubenville Municipal Court Thursday morning as a formality on the felonious assault charge on the female.

In total, he has seven felony 1 and felony 2 charges against him.
