An interesting twist to a case that we have been following closely since last December out of Jefferson County.
Todd Jackson suddenly pleads guilty to stabbing a woman in the neck and watching her bleed.
Prosecutor Jane Hanlin tells 7News the state was going to call for a continuance of the trial that was scheduled to start this morning in front of Judge Bruzzese because they were having a hard time getting in touch with the victim. They believe Jackson‘s girlfriend was contacting her for him.
When Jackson found out the state knew about it, he entered a guilty plea to all the charges he was facing.
Jackson will spend the next ten years in prison.
