A Jefferson County man could face life in prison if he’s found guilty of allegedly raping a six-year-old girl.
Jason Rivers, 33, appeared in court on Wednesday morning. He is facing charges of rape, two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and gross sexual imposition.
His attorney Steve Stickles entered a plea of not guilty to all of those charges.
Prosecutor Jane Hanlin said due to the age of the victim, Rivers could face life in prison if convicted.
Rivers has also been ordered to stay away from all children, including his own. Sheriff Fred Abdalla said new pictures found by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation show Rivers engaging in sexual acts with the little girl.
The alleged crimes took place between January and March 2015.
He is the co-defendant of Abigail Mann, who was also indicted on rape charges.
