

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and Children Services are investigating after two people were arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with young children.
Abigail Mann, 18 of
Jason Rivers, 33 of Bloomingdale was charged with Pandering Sexually Oriented Material Involving a Minor in the fourth-degree and Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity Oriented Material or Performance in the fourth-degree.
The two allegedly engaged in sexual contact with two different children, including a 2-year-old.
Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla says he received several pages of text messages between Mann and Rivers speaking of having sex with young children.
The children were placed in foster care by Children Services.
Children Services is questioning other children that were in the home. They will be interviewing two different sets of children from different parts of the county as they are possible victims.
The phones and computers of both Mann and Rivers have been confiscated and will now be sent to the Attorney General’s Office for further analysis.
Mann will be in court for a prelimary hearing at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Steubenville The investigation is ongoing.
