A Belmont County man found guilty in the 2012 death of a pedestrian on Route 40 in St. Clairsville was sentenced Friday in Belmont County court.

Judge John Solovan sentenced Robert Green to 10 years in prison for vehicular homicide and failing to report an accident.

“When you struck Mr. Cattane, you didn’t stop to check his condition,” said Judge Solovan.

Green was found guilty back in October by a jury on two counts, one of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of failure to stop and report an accident in the death of Jason Cattane on Aug. 8, 2012 along Route 40 near Ebbert’s Farm Market.
