A jury has found Jerek Wesley guilty on all charges related to a shooting on North 6th Street back in September of last year.
Wesley had been charged with failure to comply with a police officer, improper handling of a firearm in a more vehicle and weapons under disability.
On Sept. 16, Wesley was involved in a shooting in the 800 block of North 6th Street where one man was left with several gunshot wounds. On Sept. 15 Wesley led police on a chase through the City of Steubenville. After he left the vehicle, police say they found a hand gun on the floor of the driver’s side, which they believed belonged to Wesley.
On Monday, Wesley entered a plea of no contest to a charge of having a weapon as a convicted felon. He was sentenced to three years. In addition to Tuesday’s charges, Wesley will serve 9 1/2 years.
