It was day two in the trial against a 23-year-old man accused of sexual assault after an incident that took place at an apartment complex in South Wheeling.
Closing arguments were heard and the jury began their deliberation on the outcome for Dustin Hutchison, but after three hours they decided they wouldn’t be able to make a unanimous decision.
In response, Judge Simms offered to let the jurors recess for dinner or to pick back up in the morning.
The hold up comes after the jurors asked to see more of the video evidence that was shown during the trial.
The judge will not allow any more of the video to be shown because of legal issues.
Hutchison is facing sexual assault charges after an incident that took place last August at an apartment complex in South Wheeling.
