Life Threatening Injuries in ATV Crash in Monroe County, OH

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after two people were seriously injured in an ATV accident on Sunday, May 3 in Seneca Township.

Maggie Tilton, 20, of Nashport, OH and her passenger, Amanda Riski, 21, of Caldwell, OH were riding a Polaris Raz-900S southbound on SR-379 near milepost 7.

Tilton and Riski were ejected from their ATV and received life threatening injuries after striking a guardrail, according to a news release. The ATV then rolled over multiple times and then struck a ditch. Both were transported by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

OSHP troopers responding to the scene say Tilton and Riski were not wearing a helmet or seat belt. Alcohol may have played a role in the crash, according to the same release.

The incident remains under investigation.
