A freshman at Wheeling Jesuit hopes she can make Wheeling a little warmer this holiday season.
Dona’e Albert said with all the evil in the world why not do some good, with a random act of kindness in the friendly city.
She decided she’d collect scarves and pass them out to anyone who needs one this holiday season.
She is doing this all on her own, but has had great support at Wheeling Jesuit. She says students all-over campus are donating scarves.
Dona’e has received 50 scarves so far, but she wants to pass out 500.
“Makes you feel great knowing that you can change someone else’s world. You might not be able to change the whole world just yet, but it you change someone else’s world, that’s just as great,” Albert said.
On December 16th, Dona’e will be caroling and passing out the scarves with kids from the Hess program at Centre Market.
You can share the warmth this holiday season too. New and gently used scarves can be donated until December 15th at the House of Hagar on 14th Street.
