In honor of first responders that lost their lives on 9/11, one area Middle School has been working hard to raise money to support local firefighters.
Eighth graders at Triadelphia Middle School organized a “jeans day fundraiser.”
Each student who wore a pair of jeans donated $1.00 that would go to the Wheeling Fire Department.
The event raised $50, which the students presented to members of the department earlier this morning.
“Showing how important the first responders were for 9/11 and how we care for them,” said Kiera Perks, a student at Triadelphia Middle School.
The kids also participated in Stars and Stripes for “Fine Arts Friday,” where each student made a patriotic drawing.
