Longtime Northern Panhandle Judge Announces Retirement


After more than 20 years of practicing law in the Northern Panhandle, Judge Martin Gaughan has announced his retirement.

Gaughan has served as a Judicial Circuit judge in West Virginia‘s First District.

A native of Pittsburgh, Gaughan earned a bachelor’s degree in history from West Liberty University, then West Liberty State College.

Gaughan went on to receive a master’s and law degree at Duquesne University.

His last day will be June 30.
