A man was arrested in Wheeling late Saturday night after being pulled over by police for a defective brake light.
It started when Wheeling Police were patrolling in the area of Wheeling Island after responding to shots being fired in the 400 block of North Wabash Street after 10 p.m.
A home was hit multiple times by the shots, but no one inside was injured. The people gave police a description of the car that left the scene.
Officers pulled over a car matching that description a few minutes later because one of the brake lights was out.
Police arrested Donaven White, 20, of Coshocton on multiple outstanding warrants. Inside the car they found bags of marijuana, a .22 caliber revolver and two spent shell casings.
White was arraigned by Magistrate Joe Roxby and faces felony possession charges. He is in the Northern Regional Jail under $100,000 full cash bond.
