Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember those who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces.
One man decided to honor them for everyone to see during Saturday’s Ogden Half Marathon. He carried the American flag through the entire 13.1 mile course and wished to remain anonymous so he wouldn’t distract from the troops including one currently serving whom he shares a special connection with.
“It’s for the red, white, and blue and all those that defend our country and I ran today for my wife who is currently deployed overseas and sacrificing their time and their lives and just protecting the wounded everyday,” said “Flag Man.”
370 runners took part in the 39th Annual Ogden Half Marathon and money raised from Saturday’s race will be donated to Ohio Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Inc.
