Man strikes woman in back with metal spade shovel, several charges issued

The Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of Domestic Disturbance Friday evening at 9:15 in Greene County.

Upon arriving to the scene, authorities spoke to the victim, who said that Jared Evosevich retrieved a metal spade shovel with a wooden handle from the outside yard portion of the location.

Evosevich then allegedly smashed out several of the victim’s vehicle windows and the windows of his own vehicle.

The victim said that Evosevich then proceeded to strike her in the mouth with a closed fist, and then strike her in the back with the metal spade shovel.

Authorities observed minor visible injury to her mouth, and serious visible injury to her back.

EMS personnel on the scene said that the victim would need further medical attention, and transported her to Uniontown Hospital.

Evosevich was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and harassment.
