One of the 13 people arrested in the multi-state heroin trafficking operation was convicted Wednesday.
George N. Sidiropolis, 35, of McMechen pled guilty to a criminal information charging him with one county of “conspiracy to distribute heroin” on Wednesday. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $1 million.
Sidiropolis, an attorney in McMechen, patricipated in a drug distribution operation in which heroin was transported across state lines from Pittsburgh, Penn. into Ohio and Marshall Counties, as well as locations in Ohio, for redistribution and sale throughout 2014 and 2015.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Vogrin prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
