A shocking story out of Marshall County. A husband and wife were arrested after police found them raising their four children in deplorable conditions.
Child Protective Services and a detective went on for a home visit. They found the four children, ages seven, five, four and two, living in deplorable conditions along with pigs that were living in the house.
The parents, Allen and Robbin Tukesbrey, are both charged with child neglect.
“He found the house to be in a very filthy state, in his opinion. He did observe some fecal matter–excrement–on the floors, even some on the mattresses. The detective spoke to the man of the house. And he did admit that it probably was from the pigs,” said Chief Deputy William Helms, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Chief Deputy Helms said the two youngest were completely nude, and the mother claimed they had just had their baths. But he said the detective noted they were covered with dirt.
The children have been temporarily removed from the home, and the magistrate has ordered the parents to thoroughly clean the house and keep it clean, before the children can return.
They live on Gooseman Lane, off Nixon Ridge.
