About 75 Marx Toy workers gathered at the Marx Toy Museum in Moundsville on Saturday for “employees day.”

Workers came to celebrate and share memories before the museum closes its doors on June 30th.
The closure of the museum doesn’t mean the historic toy collection will be put away for good though.
Employees say they are working to put smaller collections together to send to several museums throughout the United States.

“We’re planning on putting together a display to go to other museums, Curator of Marx Toy Museum, Francis Turner said. “We’ve been contacted by actually three or four museums so far, and we’re looking forward to that so, you could say we’re not closing, we’re expanding.”

Turner says with the traveling displays, thousands of people will now get to see the toys that they would not have seen otherwise. You can still check out the museum in Moundsville until June 30th.
