A long, successful career that has span over four decades will be coming to an end for an administrator at one local university.
West Liberty University Interim President Dr. John McCullough is retiring soon and will take part in 32nd and final Commencement Ceremony this Saturday. He has served in a number of different roles over the years including provost and vice president of academic affairs.
Prior to that he was Dean of the School of Business, that is a position he held for fifteen year. Dr. McCullough also served as Interim president on two other occasions, back in 2001 and again from 2005 to 2007.
“I’ve been here so many years it becomes part..it becomes a large part of your life and your family and that’s one of the things we try to do at West Liberty is develop a family atmosphere, a caring atmosphere, a community atmosphere and that’s one of the things that I most enjoyed, most admired about West Liberty University,” said Dr. McCullough.
Dr. McCullough will be honored Thursday night at an employee dinner at Undo’s West in St Clairsville.
