Meth Lab Bust Could Lead to Lengthy Prison Term for Jefferson County Couple

The couple arrested in a Wintersville meth lab bust is facing some serious jail time.

Lloyd Boatrite and Ashley Bryant were arrested after police raided their Church Street home with several of her children inside.

Jefferson County Prosecutor Jane Hanlin says she’s is happy meth labs are not as common here as they are in other parts of the state.

“They’re very, very dangerous. They can be highly explosive. They’re dangerous of course to not only those who are ingesting that, but they’re dangerous certainly to the children in the house. It’s dangerous to the neighbors nearby because the wrong mixing of those chemicals can result in an explosion that could harm or kill everyone that’s in the vicinity,” said Hanlin.

Both are facing up to eight years in jail for manufacturing, plus an additional three years for child endangerment charges.
